As a concerned, worried citizen and voter in Montgomery County Texas I have concluded that my U.S. Representative Kevin Brady from the Woodlands, District 8 and U.S. Senator John Cornyn has failed me as a loyal conservative citizen, a constituent and a voter in Texas for the last time and in such a big way. For a week leading up to their voting to plunge the U.S. tax payer deeper into a mountain of government debt thus further devaluing the U.S. Dollar in the long term and not insisting on removing at least some of the massive pork and largesse that was put into the bill to persuade them to vote for the CEO and big business bail out last Friday neither one of them nor Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson would answer my emails, letters or phone calls to explain to me why they were voting in favor of such a fat piece of pork laden liberally socialist legislation.

They sure know how to contact me when I wrote and called in the past supporting them when they were voting in favor of a bill I was also supporting. So if they are only going to bother communicating with me just when it suits them then I want them to know that is totally unacceptable from anyone I vote for. You too should find that behavior unacceptable as well. For me I intend to pull the lever for someone that is opposing these pseudo conservatives or rather left leaning liberals masquerading as fiscal and social conservatives. As for as I'm concerned they have finally revealed themselves to be the BIG GOVERNMENT liberal voting expansionists I have come to suspect them of being and bordering on being outright socialists in their thinking and voting patterns.

By continuing to keep voting for these wolves in sheep clothing aka RINO's we are continuing to undermine the true social conservatives that are trying to actually represent we citizens and who truly want change in our government representation. We should start to purge the Republican Party of the RINO's that has taken control of the once Conservative party of President Ronald Reagan and taken us down this path of social and fiscal malaise and financial destruction. We citizens need to send these RINO's packing back to the failed Democrat Party from whence they came.

So come November 4 vote to send these RINO's a packing. Unfortunately there are currently no alternative conservatives running against these RINO's in this election but we should strongly consider turning them out anyway thus paving the way for true conservatives to run in the next off year election in 2 years in 2010 and building up to a real clean sweep for conservatives in 2012. By returning these left thinking double dealing RINO's back to office again will only dry up campaign money for the real conservatives hoping to unseat the current crop of non-responsive anti-conservative pols.

Well he is at it again. Senator McCain under the guise of regrouping back in Arizona is taking the weekend off all the while leaving Governor Palin to go out and do not only her job as the vice-President nominee of the Republican party she is also having to defend the parties choice for President, John McCain.

McCain has taken many weekends off thus far leaving one to wonder just how he is going to hold up when he has all the pressures of the western world resting on his shoulders should Americans make him the next President of the United States.

He has been under criticism for being too old to serve and here he is once again taking the weekend off from campaigning in the midst of a potential crash and burn Presidential run. It has to make some people wonder a bit and be rightly concerned about his age and health even more so. But then on the other hand should he actually prove to be not up to the job and sadly croaks while in office and while that would be sad it would actually make America the real winner by having a smart, young, vibrant, dynamic and honest to God ready to serve conservative to step into the role as President.

But understand that I in no way advocate that any harm natural or otherwise come to Senator McCain at any time. I just happen to believe that out of something so sad happening something good could also come from it.

Struggling in polls, McCain regroups in Arizona

FLAGSTAFF, Arizona (AFP) — With poll numbers slipping, Republican John McCain on Saturday struggled to inject fresh energy into his White House campaign a little over four weeks before the US presidential elections.

As the clock ticks down to November 4, McCain has yet to seize the upper hand from his Democratic rival Barack Obama and has been left trailing in the polls.

Even a gutsy debate performance by Republican VP pick Sarah Palin late Thursday, in which she performed better than expected against her Democratic rival Joseph Biden, appears to not have been enough to turn the race around.

On Thursday the McCain campaign pulled out of Michigan, effectively surrendering the midwestern state to the Democrats, to focus instead on six swing states.

And with more bad news on the economic front, McCain was to retreat to his Arizona ranch for the weekend, in a highly unusual disappearing act at the height of the campaign.

[ continued here ]

Those folks who are pushing for this massive pork bail out legislation H.R. 1424 aka 'Financial Markets Bill 74-25' the hardest are largely the ones who will be benefiting directly the most from this massive bit of pork stuffed legislation which probably 92% of the ones who are responsible for Wall Streets scandal and demise will once again be allowed to saddle right back up to the public teat once again and just keep feeding off of the tax payers while the real people who have been harmed the most to date, the American tax payer will be bending over and pulling down their britches once again to get a royal screwing without the benefit of Vaseline or any other kind of salve this time.

I went and found and started reading the language of H.R. 1424 and it didn't take long to see why I have been so sickened over this alleged bail out, that my feeling was more than adequately justified. One can call it whatever you choose but it is still a massive Wall Street bail out chocked full of pork and largesse in hopes to make it more palatable for the swills of fat greedy pigs in Washington plain and simple. It was easy to see why the fix was definitely in. The lowly tax payer as usual was the last consideration the legislator's gave in the 'Save Wall Street' first legislation.

I suspect that this bill will pass the House and Bush will be all too happy to sign it into law before the ink is even dry on it. He hopes to escape this with some of his political scalp intact but once this thing takes on a life of its own and Americans discover to their horror just how wrong they have been about the bill and Bush as well because they were scared to death into supporting this bad bad legislation I know that Americans are going to be even madder and sicker than they are now by a factor of at least 3 or more. This legislation is designed to bail out not only the Wall Street fat cat CEO's but the legislators as well who caused this crisis in the first place and their oh so cozy corrupt lobbyists.

Corrupted Democrats and Republicans alike are to blame for this financial crisis. The Dems for forcing banks and other lending institutions to accept non-credit worthy mortgages among many corrupt dealings and the Republicans who had control of both Houses of Congress for 12 out of the last 14 years and for not doing one damned thing to stop this slide into the scandalous morass we now find ourselves in. Not only did they not try to stop it they actually did their part to help faciliate it. And for not allowing drilling on our own soil for oil when they had dominating control of Congress for at least 8 years or the 12 years their party occupied Congress and the Whitehouse. Shame on the Republicans and let there be a pox on their house for aiding and abetting the even more corrupt liberal Democrats as well as the fat cat Wall Streeter's to rape and pillage the citizens of America with their blessings during the time they controlled Congress and the Whitehouse. They were simply too busy lining their pockets and the pockets of their fat cat big business campaign contributors and good buddy corrupt lobbyists to give a damn about those of us who trusted them.

I would challenge anyone who doesn't believe what I've said here to go and read the actual language of H.R. 1424 for themselves and see for themselves how this bill if allowed to pass into law will advance our final demise in America and bring America to its collective knees within two years. As usual Americans have allowed themselves to be bullied and manipulated into doing Washington's bidding and as always they will live to regret their support. Middle America just never seems to learn anymore. Americans I believe have come to like being lied to.

And to top all of this off is the fact so called conservatives voted with both hands and both feet for this bit of America sell out legislation. My so called elected Republican Representative in District 8, The Woodlands Kevin Brady, and both of my two Republican U.S. Sebators fell head over heels in love with this massive legislation chocked to overflowing with pork and largesse designed to buy their fellow legislators votes. At least they finally came out of the socialist closet and can now quit pretending that they are conservatives. IMHO they must be replaced at the earliest possible time. They have dealt America a crushing blow already.

MyTake on this years Presidential race

Something to consider this election year. That Barack Hussein Obama is even ahead of John McCain at all and has been at least since Obama wrapped up his race with Hillary Clinton should say more about the Republican presidential candidate than it does about the Democrat presidential candidate. Considering that if this were any other election year it would be completely understandable if these two men were most any other typical party candidates. But with Obama apparently being the most extreme left wing tax and spend liberally Marxist/communist/socialist and least inexperienced candidate in our nations history that I'm aware of for any major office and that McCain is trailing Obama in most national polls by anywhere from 1 to 6 points and is only marginally (3-5 points - statistically tied) behind McCain here in Texas gives us a critical clue as to just how bad this Republican candidate really is in comparison.

If it weren't for John McCain and his effort to move the party to the center-left and stiffing the Christian conservatives most any other typical Republican candidate in the race would be out front by 15-20 points or more. If this doesn't reveal just how bad and weak McCain and the RNC is I don't know what else would. This also says a lot as well about those pushing his candidacy with so much at stake. I don't even think Texas, where everyone knows everything is bigger, makes clothespins big enough to block out the stench emanating from this candidate this year. Texas for sure is also risking losing its majority share of statewide elected Republican officials due to the typical coat-tail effect. It appears that the Democrats will be in control of both the White House and Congress as well come November. Can anyone say shades of the 'Whig Party'?!

If you had thought that John McCain, the Republican candidate running for President had a change of heart about trying to push for Comprehensive Immigration Reform, a.k.a. shamnesty after being so badly defeated in 2007 in the Senate you wouldn't have been alone thinking that but you would have been wrong along with everyone else who thought that.

Late last year McCain said he finally got the message and that he finally realized that the borders must be secured before anything else. But are the borders being secured? That would depend on how you define 'secured'. That is a subject for another time but in general I would say no, not really.

Well, now it turns out that McCain has been going around the country meeting with small groups of about 150 or so Mexicans in attempts to assure them that he hasn't forgotten them. These meetings are held under fairly tight security and scrutiny with no media allowed and by campaign personal pre-interviewed invite only. And it would appear that is a good thing once you realize what he has been telling these groups of Mexicans behind closed doors where he feels pretty secure from prying public eyes and ears.

It turns out that someone (an American of Mexican ancestry) who is not so happy with this setup managed to get a private invite to the Chicago private function and this person has written a firsthand witness report from notes she took on the meeting.

Go <a title="

At a time when America needs leadership from Washington this is the typical response that we are getting from the Democrats and RINOs who are in charge in Washington, well at least they have the numbers, are telling all of America. And it looks like America is about to give the self-defeatist an ever larger presence in Congress. Maybe Americans do deserve the high price of gas and food.

By the way, this pretty much represents Republican John McCains response to drilling in ANWR and the OCS as well to help reduce Americas dependence on the blackmailing OPEC teat. Oh well, some have said that McCain is a Democrat at heart anyway. There just might be some truth to that after all. He is at least a liberal at heart. We all need to turn up the heat on these liberal obstructionists in both parties to become energy independent for America. Write or call your Congressman and Senator as well as the President and demand they allow drilling NOW. Also go and sign the petition at this link that tells Congress to Drill Here Drill Now.

<img alt="Screw You Americans - We Know Better About These Things Than You Do.
The Federal Reserve is cautiously admitting that rising fuel costs are steadily pushing up the costs of food staples all across the board and is also causing affected businesses to raise their costs to consumers as well all leading to increasing inflation and a slowing of the economy. All of this is really hammering the consumer and their pocketbooks and thus is both adding to inflation and putting another drag on overall economic growth. The Fed went on to say

Chafing under price hikes, "consumer spending slowed ... as incomes were pinched by rising energy and food prices," the Fed said. Manufacturing activity, meanwhile, was "generally soft" and the housing market remained stuck in a rut.

Of course the Fed attempts to lay further inflationary woes off on the consumer saying that if they start to believe that the economy is in trouble and start to act in ways that would worsen the inflation climate. Well, if the consumer is starting to see the obvious and they then try to protect their families don't blame them. Put the blame where it really belongs. Typical blame shifting rhetoric by those in the Bush administration in order to try to get out from under their incompetence and mishandling of the economy for the past few years.

James Bullard, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis states

Raising rates too soon, though, could deal a set back to the already fragile economy.

And by keeping interest rates too low causes the US dollar to remain weak in the world economy which in turns makes the goods Americans purchase more expensive and causes the cost of imported oil to be much more expensive. In order to strengthen the dollar, interest rates must be allowed to slowly start rising but no so fast as to trigger out of control inflation. Congress also is going to have stop printing money to cover their inflationary and budget destroying pork programs and ear marks that continues to increase the deficit which in turns makes the dollar weaker as well.

There are many things at play that are working to drive up the costs of oil which in turn affects everything else in our lives. There is no one thing that is solely responsible. But one answer that is definitely in our own interests is to start drilling in ANWR and the OCS and along with other worthy ideas that could help wean us off of foreign oil. If we don't start now then I agree with a growing list of world economists that the US will start to cease to exist within about seven to fifteen years. There is just barely enough time to start domestic drilling to bring down the staggering costs related to imported oil consumption and other needs tied directly and indirectly to oil necessary to our economic well being.

And finally. John McCain has consistently opposed and has even voted to ban drilling in these areas. He is also on record as opposing drilling as he campaigns for the highest office in the land. I must wonder just whose interest he is trying to protect here.

Fed: High energy, food prices keep economy weak

By Jeannine Aversa, AP Economics Writer

WASHINGTON — The Federal Reserve says the economy remained "generally weak" heading into summer as rising costs for energy and food pounded consumers and forced some companies to push their own prices higher.

The Fed's latest snapshot of business conditions, released Wednesday in Washington, underscored two big sore spots for the country: listless economic activity coupled with high energy and food prices. Those rising prices raise the risks of both spreading inflation and putting another drag on overall economic growth. ....

<Read more here>

Hey Republican candidates running for Congressional office in 2008: try getting on the same page and support a comprehensive proposal to drill for oil anywhere and everywhere America has interests to bring oil prices under control and pledge to build more oil refineries and build more nuclear power plants and the American people will get behind you in November in a big way. Americans are fed up with do nothing Congressional members and want real answers to real problems and not just more mealy mouthed platitudes.

Americans want a real comprehensive energy policy with real teeth in it. This will also require John McCain and all Republican office holders as well as candidates running for Congressional office to all get on the same page. Americans at this point does not believe you represent their interests so what have you got to lose besides some of your chummy liberal Democrat friends.

Draft a plainly worded sworn pledge that every American can easily read and understand and sign it at a major public event like Newt Gingrich did in 1994 and get a copy of it into the hands of every conservative and Republican voter ASAP and make sure McCain most importantly signs it as well with no wiggle room left in it for McCain to escape after the election and you will most certainly win and take back control of Congress with large margins. Then stick to it after you all take back the Congress and the Whitehouse. It's really that simple guys and gals. So what's standing in your way? Those Democrats and tree huggers are not your real friends.
