EDITORIAL: Vote For REAL Change in This Election

As a concerned, worried citizen and voter in Montgomery County Texas I have concluded that my U.S. Representative Kevin Brady from the Woodlands, District 8 and U.S. Senator John Cornyn has failed me as a loyal conservative citizen, a constituent and a voter in Texas for the last time and in such a big way. For a week leading up to their voting to plunge the U.S. tax payer deeper into a mountain of government debt thus further devaluing the U.S. Dollar in the long term and not insisting on removing at least some of the massive pork and largesse that was put into the bill to persuade them to vote for the CEO and big business bail out last Friday neither one of them nor Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson would answer my emails, letters or phone calls to explain to me why they were voting in favor of such a fat piece of pork laden liberally socialist legislation.

They sure know how to contact me when I wrote and called in the past supporting them when they were voting in favor of a bill I was also supporting. So if they are only going to bother communicating with me just when it suits them then I want them to know that is totally unacceptable from anyone I vote for. You too should find that behavior unacceptable as well. For me I intend to pull the lever for someone that is opposing these pseudo conservatives or rather left leaning liberals masquerading as fiscal and social conservatives. As for as I'm concerned they have finally revealed themselves to be the BIG GOVERNMENT liberal voting expansionists I have come to suspect them of being and bordering on being outright socialists in their thinking and voting patterns.

By continuing to keep voting for these wolves in sheep clothing aka RINO's we are continuing to undermine the true social conservatives that are trying to actually represent we citizens and who truly want change in our government representation. We should start to purge the Republican Party of the RINO's that has taken control of the once Conservative party of President Ronald Reagan and taken us down this path of social and fiscal malaise and financial destruction. We citizens need to send these RINO's packing back to the failed Democrat Party from whence they came.

So come November 4 vote to send these RINO's a packing. Unfortunately there are currently no alternative conservatives running against these RINO's in this election but we should strongly consider turning them out anyway thus paving the way for true conservatives to run in the next off year election in 2 years in 2010 and building up to a real clean sweep for conservatives in 2012. By returning these left thinking double dealing RINO's back to office again will only dry up campaign money for the real conservatives hoping to unseat the current crop of non-responsive anti-conservative pols.

Palin pounds pavement while McCain takes weekend off (again & again & again)

Well he is at it again. Senator McCain under the guise of regrouping back in Arizona is taking the weekend off all the while leaving Governor Palin to go out and do not only her job as the vice-President nominee of the Republican party she is also having to defend the parties choice for President, John McCain.

McCain has taken many weekends off thus far leaving one to wonder just how he is going to hold up when he has all the pressures of the western world resting on his shoulders should Americans make him the next President of the United States.

He has been under criticism for being too old to serve and here he is once again taking the weekend off from campaigning in the midst of a potential crash and burn Presidential run. It has to make some people wonder a bit and be rightly concerned about his age and health even more so. But then on the other hand should he actually prove to be not up to the job and sadly croaks while in office and while that would be sad it would actually make America the real winner by having a smart, young, vibrant, dynamic and honest to God ready to serve conservative to step into the role as President.

But understand that I in no way advocate that any harm natural or otherwise come to Senator McCain at any time. I just happen to believe that out of something so sad happening something good could also come from it.

Struggling in polls, McCain regroups in Arizona

FLAGSTAFF, Arizona (AFP) — With poll numbers slipping, Republican John McCain on Saturday struggled to inject fresh energy into his White House campaign a little over four weeks before the US presidential elections.

As the clock ticks down to November 4, McCain has yet to seize the upper hand from his Democratic rival Barack Obama and has been left trailing in the polls.

Even a gutsy debate performance by Republican VP pick Sarah Palin late Thursday, in which she performed better than expected against her Democratic rival Joseph Biden, appears to not have been enough to turn the race around.

On Thursday the McCain campaign pulled out of Michigan, effectively surrendering the midwestern state to the Democrats, to focus instead on six swing states.

And with more bad news on the economic front, McCain was to retreat to his Arizona ranch for the weekend, in a highly unusual disappearing act at the height of the campaign.

Congress Bailed on America

Congress Bailed on America

The screwing over of Americans continues with Americans blessings - EDITORIAL

Those folks who are pushing for this massive pork bail out legislation H.R. 1424 aka 'Financial Markets Bill 74-25' the hardest are largely the ones who will be benefiting directly the most from this massive bit of pork stuffed legislation which probably 92% of the ones who are responsible for Wall Streets scandal and demise will once again be allowed to saddle right back up to the public teat once again and just keep feeding off of the tax payers while the real people who have been harmed the most to date, the American tax payer will be bending over and pulling down their britches once again to get a royal screwing without the benefit of Vaseline or any other kind of salve this time.

I went and found and started reading the language of H.R. 1424 and it didn't take long to see why I have been so sickened over this alleged bail out, that my feeling was more than adequately justified. One can call it whatever you choose but it is still a massive Wall Street bail out chocked full of pork and largesse in hopes to make it more palatable for the swills of fat greedy pigs in Washington plain and simple. It was easy to see why the fix was definitely in. The lowly tax payer as usual was the last consideration the legislator's gave in the 'Save Wall Street' first legislation.

I suspect that this bill will pass the House and Bush will be all too happy to sign it into law before the ink is even dry on it. He hopes to escape this with some of his political scalp intact but once this thing takes on a life of its own and Americans discover to their horror just how wrong they have been about the bill and Bush as well because they were scared to death into supporting this bad bad legislation I know that Americans are going to be even madder and sicker than they are now by a factor of at least 3 or more. This legislation is designed to bail out not only the Wall Street fat cat CEO's but the legislators as well who caused this crisis in the first place and their oh so cozy corrupt lobbyists.

Corrupted Democrats and Republicans alike are to blame for this financial crisis. The Dems for forcing banks and other lending institutions to accept non-credit worthy mortgages among many corrupt dealings and the Republicans who had control of both Houses of Congress for 12 out of the last 14 years and for not doing one damned thing to stop this slide into the scandalous morass we now find ourselves in. Not only did they not try to stop it they actually did their part to help faciliate it. And for not allowing drilling on our own soil for oil when they had dominating control of Congress for at least 8 years or the 12 years their party occupied Congress and the Whitehouse. Shame on the Republicans and let there be a pox on their house for aiding and abetting the even more corrupt liberal Democrats as well as the fat cat Wall Streeter's to rape and pillage the citizens of America with their blessings during the time they controlled Congress and the Whitehouse. They were simply too busy lining their pockets and the pockets of their fat cat big business campaign contributors and good buddy corrupt lobbyists to give a damn about those of us who trusted them.

I would challenge anyone who doesn't believe what I've said here to go and read the actual language of H.R. 1424 for themselves and see for themselves how this bill if allowed to pass into law will advance our final demise in America and bring America to its collective knees within two years. As usual Americans have allowed themselves to be bullied and manipulated into doing Washington's bidding and as always they will live to regret their support. Middle America just never seems to learn anymore. Americans I believe have come to like being lied to.

And to top all of this off is the fact so called conservatives voted with both hands and both feet for this bit of America sell out legislation. My so called elected Republican Representative in District 8, The Woodlands Kevin Brady, and both of my two Republican U.S. Sebators fell head over heels in love with this massive legislation chocked to overflowing with pork and largesse designed to buy their fellow legislators votes. At least they finally came out of the socialist closet and can now quit pretending that they are conservatives. IMHO they must be replaced at the earliest possible time. They have dealt America a crushing blow already.

How do they measure up this election year

MyTake on this years Presidential race

Something to consider this election year. That Barack Hussein Obama is even ahead of John McCain at all and has been at least since Obama wrapped up his race with Hillary Clinton should say more about the Republican presidential candidate than it does about the Democrat presidential candidate. Considering that if this were any other election year it would be completely understandable if these two men were most any other typical party candidates. But with Obama apparently being the most extreme left wing tax and spend liberally Marxist/communist/socialist and least inexperienced candidate in our nations history that I'm aware of for any major office and that McCain is trailing Obama in most national polls by anywhere from 1 to 6 points and is only marginally (3-5 points - statistically tied) behind McCain here in Texas gives us a critical clue as to just how bad this Republican candidate really is in comparison.

If it weren't for John McCain and his effort to move the party to the center-left and stiffing the Christian conservatives most any other typical Republican candidate in the race would be out front by 15-20 points or more. If this doesn't reveal just how bad and weak McCain and the RNC is I don't know what else would. This also says a lot as well about those pushing his candidacy with so much at stake. I don't even think Texas, where everyone knows everything is bigger, makes clothespins big enough to block out the stench emanating from this candidate this year. Texas for sure is also risking losing its majority share of statewide elected Republican officials due to the typical coat-tail effect. It appears that the Democrats will be in control of both the White House and Congress as well come November. Can anyone say shades of the 'Whig Party'?!

Illinois Hispanics meet with Juan McCain in Downtown Chicago

If you had thought that John McCain, the Republican candidate running for President had a change of heart about trying to push for Comprehensive Immigration Reform, a.k.a. shamnesty after being so badly defeated in 2007 in the Senate you wouldn't have been alone thinking that but you would have been wrong along with everyone else who thought that.

Late last year McCain said he finally got the message and that he finally realized that the borders must be secured before anything else. But are the borders being secured? That would depend on how you define 'secured'. That is a subject for another time but in general I would say no, not really.

Well, now it turns out that McCain has been going around the country meeting with small groups of about 150 or so Mexicans in attempts to assure them that he hasn't forgotten them. These meetings are held under fairly tight security and scrutiny with no media allowed and by campaign personal pre-interviewed invite only. And it would appear that is a good thing once you realize what he has been telling these groups of Mexicans behind closed doors where he feels pretty secure from prying public eyes and ears.

It turns out that someone (an American of Mexican ancestry) who is not so happy with this setup managed to get a private invite to the Chicago private function and this person has written a firsthand witness report from notes she took on the meeting.

Go here, here,  here and HERE and read the posted report. The third link is to Michele Malkins blog who reported on this meeting in Chicago as well. If after you read these reports you aren't convinced about McCains secret illegal alien agenda for shamnesty here then you are either a McCain partisan and there is no hope for you or America and or you just don't care that your country is being robbed from you and me right before your own eyes.

Illinois Hispanics meet with Juan McCain in Downtown Chicago

.... John Mc Cain's favorite words of the evening were Comprehensive Immigration Reform. But he started out first of all saying if he is gonna win the Presidential election he will need the support of the Latino community.

He said " My state has been enriched by the Hispanic culture in Arizona."

Then John MC Cain asked a question "Did you know this? I bet some of you did not know that Spanish was spoken in Arizona before English" ...Loud cheers from the audience. (Ok John Mc Cain What is your AZATLAN POINT?)

Then he said " I want to have some straight talk about our relationship with Mexico, our closest neighbor and dearest friend" He talked about the Mexican President fighting the drug cartels.

Then John Mc Cain aid the exact thing I came to hear, he said "I was proud to work for Comprehensive Immigration Reform and If I am elected President I assure you that in 2009 I will ask Congress to pass Comprehensive Immigration Reform." (The crowd goes wild)"It is a Federal Responsibility" he said and continued " we also need a temporary guest worker program" ....

John McCain talked about a debate he was in about enforcing the law and he says that the "other side had a lot of "Rhetoric" "you know what I am talking about!" he said.  ....

You really should go and read the rest of the story for yourself if you have any doubt what so ever.

The Liberals (Are Not) Looking Out for Americans

At a time when America needs leadership from Washington this is the typical response that we are getting from the Democrats and RINOs who are in charge in Washington, well at least they have the numbers, are telling all of America. And it looks like America is about to give the self-defeatist an ever larger presence in Congress. Maybe Americans do deserve the high price of gas and food.

By the way, this pretty much represents Republican John McCains response to drilling in ANWR and the OCS as well to help reduce Americas dependence on the blackmailing OPEC teat. Oh well, some have said that McCain is a Democrat at heart anyway. There just might be some truth to that after all. He is at least a liberal at heart. We all need to turn up the heat on these liberal obstructionists in both parties to become energy independent for America. Write or call your Congressman and Senator as well as the President and demand they allow drilling NOW. Also go and sign the petition at this link that tells Congress to Drill Here Drill Now.

Screw You Americans - We Know Better About These Things Than You Do. Mind Your Own Business.

High energy, food prices continues to weaken the economy

The Federal Reserve is cautiously admitting that rising fuel costs are steadily pushing up the costs of food staples all across the board and is also causing affected businesses to raise their costs to consumers as well all leading to increasing inflation and a slowing of the economy. All of this is really hammering the consumer and their pocketbooks and thus is both adding to inflation and putting another drag on overall economic growth. The Fed went on to say

Chafing under price hikes, "consumer spending slowed ... as incomes were pinched by rising energy and food prices," the Fed said. Manufacturing activity, meanwhile, was "generally soft" and the housing market remained stuck in a rut.

Of course the Fed attempts to lay further inflationary woes off on the consumer saying that if they start to believe that the economy is in trouble and start to act in ways that would worsen the inflation climate. Well, if the consumer is starting to see the obvious and they then try to protect their families don't blame them. Put the blame where it really belongs. Typical blame shifting rhetoric by those in the Bush administration in order to try to get out from under their incompetence and mishandling of the economy for the past few years.

James Bullard, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis states

Raising rates too soon, though, could deal a set back to the already fragile economy.

And by keeping interest rates too low causes the US dollar to remain weak in the world economy which in turns makes the goods Americans purchase more expensive and causes the cost of imported oil to be much more expensive. In order to strengthen the dollar, interest rates must be allowed to slowly start rising but no so fast as to trigger out of control inflation. Congress also is going to have stop printing money to cover their inflationary and budget destroying pork programs and ear marks that continues to increase the deficit which in turns makes the dollar weaker as well.

There are many things at play that are working to drive up the costs of oil which in turn affects everything else in our lives. There is no one thing that is solely responsible. But one answer that is definitely in our own interests is to start drilling in ANWR and the OCS and along with other worthy ideas that could help wean us off of foreign oil. If we don't start now then I agree with a growing list of world economists that the US will start to cease to exist within about seven to fifteen years. There is just barely enough time to start domestic drilling to bring down the staggering costs related to imported oil consumption and other needs tied directly and indirectly to oil necessary to our economic well being.

And finally. John McCain has consistently opposed and has even voted to ban drilling in these areas. He is also on record as opposing drilling as he campaigns for the highest office in the land. I must wonder just whose interest he is trying to protect here.

Fed: High energy, food prices keep economy weak

By Jeannine Aversa, AP Economics Writer

WASHINGTON — The Federal Reserve says the economy remained "generally weak" heading into summer as rising costs for energy and food pounded consumers and forced some companies to push their own prices higher.

The Fed's latest snapshot of business conditions, released Wednesday in Washington, underscored two big sore spots for the country: listless economic activity coupled with high energy and food prices. Those rising prices raise the risks of both spreading inflation and putting another drag on overall economic growth. ....

A sure fire winning strategy for Republicans

Hey Republican candidates running for Congressional office in 2008: try getting on the same page and support a comprehensive proposal to drill for oil anywhere and everywhere America has interests to bring oil prices under control and pledge to build more oil refineries and build more nuclear power plants and the American people will get behind you in November in a big way. Americans are fed up with do nothing Congressional members and want real answers to real problems and not just more mealy mouthed platitudes.

Americans want a real comprehensive energy policy with real teeth in it. This will also require John McCain and all Republican office holders as well as candidates running for Congressional office to all get on the same page. Americans at this point does not believe you represent their interests so what have you got to lose besides some of your chummy liberal Democrat friends.

Draft a plainly worded sworn pledge that every American can easily read and understand and sign it at a major public event like Newt Gingrich did in 1994 and get a copy of it into the hands of every conservative and Republican voter ASAP and make sure McCain most importantly signs it as well with no wiggle room left in it for McCain to escape after the election and you will most certainly win and take back control of Congress with large margins. Then stick to it after you all take back the Congress and the Whitehouse. It's really that simple guys and gals. So what's standing in your way? Those Democrats and tree huggers are not your real friends.

Obama camp worries Muslim label may start to stick - prepares to do battle

The Obama camp had thought that the alleged rumor that Hussein Obama is a Muslim or at least has close ties to Islam was settled last year but with his protracted battle for the Democrat presidential nomination with fellow Senator Hillary Clinton consumed so much of his and his campaigns time and resources the rumor along with others have made a comeback and have been spreading fast all across the world wide web mainly via e-mails and also on Weblogs.

The net result is that undecided and Independent voters are starting to pay closer attention and are starting to question his truthfulness and honesty. People are starting to seriously wonder privately if there really is something to what they see and read in these emails and blog entries. And all this comes right on the heals of the many recently dust ups over his 20 year membership in the Rev. Wrights church that appears to have been espousing at the minimum denigrating comments about America and 9/11 and at worst racist and hate-filled sermons condemning the white race and America. Rumors have also surfaced that the Rev. Wright was also a former Muslim himself.

Then there was his reported associations with recently convicted financier Tony Rezko, a former top Obama fund-raiser and close confidant; his close association with self-admitted home grown terrorist William Ayers, a friend of Obamas among several other questionable associations with some quite unsavory and seemingly evil individuals and organizations.

Now it seems that the Obama campaign wants to refocus their campaign, they are viscously going after anyone who makes what they choose to call disparaging remarks (paraphrasing here) about Hussein Obama. So beware that when someone attacks you about something you say or publish online about the man just know that it is probably coming from groups like MoveOn.org (a George Soros funded entity) or the DailyKOS.com (another George Soros funded full blown Marxist political web site). Don't be alarmed but stand your ground against those bunch of Marxist thugs.

Barack Obama sets up internet 'war room' to fight slurs
Internet ‘war room’ will rebuff false rumours
June 9, 2008

A crack team of cybernauts will form a rapid response internet “war room” to track and respond aggressively to online rumours that Barack Obama is unpatriotic and a Muslim.

As he gears up for his general election fight against John McCain, Mr Obama and his chief advisers are aware of the danger of such rumours, amid polling data showing that a significant number of Americans believe he is a Muslim or are suspicious about his background. Such doubts were a factor in his poor showing with white, blue-collar voters during his primary battle with Hillary Clinton.

In recent days Mr Obama has — unprompted — brought up the subject of the chain e-mails and blog sites making the......

G-8 Energy Chiefs finally starting to come aboard

It would seem that the G-8 and OPEC are finally starting to get the idea that out of control wold crude oil prices are starting to destabilize nations markets and their economies around the world and could even trigger wars and lead to more worldwide food shortages as well as famine if left unchecked. But don't look for any meaningful change in increased oil production or policies before the end of the year and any significant change ore relief at the pump and grocer counter for probably another two or three years while the status quo is maintained with a slowed but steady march towards that $200 a barrel mark for crude oil that has been predicted by many annalists.

In the meantime consumer's all around the world will be forced to make modest to drastic changes to their lifestyles and how they conduct their usual business. This will be especially so for the U.S. consumer. Many Americans are still in denial about these changes but they will soon be awoken from their slumber as prices for everything we buy will just keep inching up except for their wages. Changes will certainly be required if we are to survive the coming near meltdown in the months and years to come. As was reported here recently, "the simple fact is Americans are going to have to get used to a much lower standard of living".

G-8 Energy Chiefs: Fight Oil Prices With Efficiency, New Energy Sources.
Sunday, June 08, 2008

AOMORI, Japan — The world's top industrialized nations and leading oil consumers pledged Sunday to fight skyrocketing energy prices by increasing efficiency and accelerating investment in new technologies, while urging producers to expand production.

Energy ministers from the Group of Eight countries, joined by China, India and South Korea, voiced concerns over record oil prices and said both producers and consumers would benefit from greater market stability.

Ministers, meeting in the northern Japanese city of Aomori, focused Sunday on how they could diversify their energy sources to both control rising demand for oil and rein in emissions of greenhouse gases blamed for global warming.

"We simply must increase the level and breadth of investment all around the world," said U.S. Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman. "That means promoting aggressive investment in renewable energy and other alternative energies technologies, as well as the development of tradition hydrocarbon resources.

The 11 nations, which account for 65 percent of the world's energy consumption, grappled with oil prices that have hit record highs. Prices made a massive 8 percent gain Friday to $138.54 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

The G-8 countries — the United States, Russia, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Canada and Britain — laid out ways of cutting their dependence on oil in a statement.

They pledged to launch 20 demonstration projects by 2010 on so-called "carbon capture and storage," which would allow power plants to catch emissions and inject them into underground storage spaces.

While that technology is still in its infancy, proponents say it could eventually allow the expanded exploitation of the world's abundant supply of cheap coal without polluting the environment and speeding global warming.

There were clear rifts, however, on how to approach the expansion of nuclear energy. The carefully worded joint statement called for assurances on safety and security of nuclear materials, but several nations said they were enthusiastic about building new reactors.

The International Energy Agency, in a report issued last week, estimated the world would have to construct 32 new nuclear power plants each year from now until 2050 as part of an effort to cut global greenhouse gas emissions by 50 percent.

"I think we're on the verge of a new nuclear age and that will be a positive thing for the world," said John Hutton, British secretary of state for business enterprise and regulatory reform.

Germany, however, said it would not join the effort. Jochen Homann, Germany's economics minister, said Berlin was sticking to its decision to phase out nuclear power.

The G-8, China, India and South Korea also established the International Partnership for Energy Efficiency Cooperation to promote best practices in conserving energy.

While the participants called for more oil production, it could take months to get a response. Production levels have been flat for three years and Chakib Khelil, the president of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, has said the group will make no new decision on output until a Sept. 9 meeting in Vienna.

The ministers met amid rising concerns that soaring oil prices could trigger global economic troubles. Fanning such fears, both Japan and the United States have announced higher unemployment rates in recent weeks.

"The situation regarding energy prices is becoming extremely challenging," warned Akira Amari, Japan's trade and energy minister. "If left unaddressed, it may well cause a recession in the global economy."

The Sunday meeting followed a joint statement by five top energy consumers — the U.S., Japan, China, India and South Korea — that warned high prices were a menace to the world economy and more petroleum should be produced to meet rising demand. They argued the unprecedented prices were against the interests of both producers and consumers, and imposed a "heavy burden" on developing countries.

The group, however, diverged over oil subsidies. The International Energy Agency has estimated that oil subsidies in China, India and the Middle East totaled about $55 billion in 2007.

The United States urged countries such as China to lower oil supports, which buoy demand, while poorer developing nations said removing subsidies could trigger political and economic unrest.

The 545 People Responsible For All Of U.S. Woes

Some of you may have already seen and read the following but if you have maybe you could use a refresher and if you haven't then read it and see if you still think the same way about the state of our nation and where we are as a nation. The original publish date for the article is unknown but it does go back a ways. The author is Charley Reese and he wrote the article for the Orlando Sentinel newspaper.

The 545 People Responsible For All Of U.S. Woes
BY Charley Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, we have deficits? Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does. You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does. You and I don't write the tax code. Congress does. You and I don't set fiscal policy. Congress does. You and I don't control monetary policy. The Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president and nine Supreme Court justices - 545 human beings out of the 235 million - are directly, legally, morally and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered but private central bank.

I excluded all but the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it.

No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislation's responsibility to determine how he votes.

A CONFIDENCE CONSPIRACY

Don't you see how the con game that is played on the people by the politicians? Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of Tip O'Neill, who stood up and criticized Ronald Reagan for creating deficits.

The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it. The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating appropriations and taxes.

O'neill is the speaker of the House. He is the leader of the majority party. He and his fellow Democrats, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetos it, they can pass it over his veto.

REPLACE SCOUNDRELS

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 235 (updated) 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts - of incompetence and irresponsibility.

I can't think of a single domestic problem, from an unfair tax code to defense overruns, that is not traceable directly to those 545 people.

When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair. If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red. If the Marines are in Lebanon, it's because they want them in Lebanon.

There are no insoluble government problems. Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take it.

Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exist disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation" or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people and they alone are responsible. They and they alone have the power. They and they alone should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses - provided they have the gumption to manage their own employees.

The Democrats have finally come to together at long last

Can't you just feel the electricity and excitement in the air now that the Democrats have finally at long last selected their exciting new young and energetic, albeit totally inexperienced and for the most part clueless nominee?! And they are so excited to at last be unified behind B Hussein Obama and for whatever it is he stands for.

Dems are so excited and unified at long last.

The gas prices (and government) we deserve

Columnist George Will writes for the JewishWorldReview this week that we Americans are getting the sky high fuel prices that we deserve. That's right and I happen to agree with him in this respect. I also believe that his reasoning and logic could easily extend to the kind of government we Americans are having to deal with has the very same roots.

Senator Chuck Schumer (SocD-NY) wants the US to blackmail Saudi Araiba to lower the cost of gasoline at the pump. He wants the the Saudis to know that the US will withhold military parts and equipment shipments if it doesn't increase the output of oil by one million barrels a day. I'm not kidding you. The very Chuckie Schumer who has religously voted to prevent drilling anywhere that the United States has oil soverignity or rights or in other words, here at home. The very Chuckie Schumer who has religously voted to deny new permits for any new oil refineries, the very same Chuckie Schumer who has religously voted to deny permits to build any new nuclear power plants. You get the idea.

Three quarters of the current US Senate has also voted with old Chuckie Schumer to do the very things I listed above. Now they are running around screaming for the heads of oil execs and pointing fingers at every one and anyone else but at the real guilty parties. Themselves!

Every first world nation and some second world nation around the world are all doing the very same things that we are not doing in order to make their countries self-sufficient and less dependent on foreign oil imports. Everyone but the US. Instead these wise Senators wants the US to become even more dependent on foreign oil imports. This is sheer self-destructive lunacy and will end up destroying our economy and status as the leader of the free world. At this rate we have about ten years or so before our world collapses and we go the way the Romam empire went.

This brings me to why Americans should just shut up and suck it up and stop their incessant whining. After all we citizens are the ones who election after election keep re-electing these very same screwed up anti-American Senators and Representatives to office over and over. Americans claim to want change but they keep doing the very same thing every election. How can change happen if we don't do anything different to make that change happen?! These politicians just keep voting for their very own selfish interests and for their high paid lobbists buddies. The people's interests are the last thing these sell out politicians think about at the end of the day. Do you really think you could get any significant and productive face time with your US Senator if you called him/her for some other than getting your picture taken (aka a photo-op) with him/her to use in their re-election efforts?

You would have to wait in a long long line behind all those highly paid (many of them for foreign govtt's.) lobbists all vying for face time and securing their votes (for suitable enumeration I'm quite sure) for their company or governments projects. Anyway I suppose I digress too much by now. Please, go read George Wills column. It is refreshing to see someone in the MSM address this subject from this perspective.

The gas prices we deserve

By George Will

George Will

Rising in the Senate on May 13, Chuck Schumer, the New York Democrat, explained: "I rise to discuss rising energy prices." The president was heading to Saudi Arabia to seek an increase in its oil production, and Schumer's gorge was rising.

Saudi Arabia, he said, "holds the key to reducing gasoline prices at home in the short term." Therefore arms sales to that kingdom should be blocked unless it "increases its oil production by one million barrels per day," which would cause the price of gasoline to fall "50 cents a gallon almost immediately."

Can a senator, with so many things on his mind, know so precisely how the price of gasoline would respond to that increase in the oil supply? Schumer does know that if you increase the supply of something, the price of it probably will fall. That is why he and 96 other senators recently voted to increase the supply of oil on the market by stopping the flow of oil into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which protects against major physical interruptions. Seventy-one of the 97 senators who voted to stop filling the reserve also oppose drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

One million barrels is what might today be flowing from ANWR if in 1995 President Bill Clinton had not vetoed legislation to permit drilling there. One million barrels produce 27 million gallons of gasoline and diesel fuel. Seventy-two of today's senators — including Schumer, of course, and 38 other Democrats, including Barack Obama, and 33 Republicans, including John McCain — have voted to keep ANWR's estimated 10.4 billion barrels of oil off the market.

So Schumer, according to Schumer, is complicit in taking $10 away from every American who buys 20 gallons of gasoline. "Democracy," said H.L. Mencken, "is the theory that the common people.....

America's Independent Party

America's Independent Party

For those that are beyond being disaffected, disgusted and just plain ol' fed up and feeling disrespected and homeless (and traditionally social as well) conservatives, conservative Democrats and conservative Independents who have had it with the current corrupted major two party dominated apparatus and them showing us their middle finger then there is finally a ray of hope on the horizon for us. There is a growing organized association of true and traditional conservatives working very hard to put together a new party home for the disenfranchised conservative citizen and voter like you and me.

After all, the once vaunted Republican party was a much ridiculed and maligned third party when the voters became so fed up with the Whigs back in 1856 when the Whig Party elitists finally ignored the wishes of the voters once too often and they were voted out of office forever and replaced with that little known and aspiring Republican party. Think it can't happen again? Go hide and watch my friend. Conservatives are reaching their fill with the liberal wing of the Rockefeller Republican party and are bolting the party in droves every day now. They're begging and praying for a better choice than what is being foisted upon them today.

It is named the 'America's Independent Party' and they have a Provisional Platform that any real traditional conservative can identify with and wholeheartedly get behind and is definitely worth the time to read and study at their linked web site. From what I've gathered so far this is a relatively new effort and from all I've learned to date this may well turn out to be a viable vehicle to get behind and use to propel the conservative voter back into the political ball game in both the short term but more importantly in the long term and restore some level of trust in and hope for the U.S. of A. and the Constitution as well as the Rule of Law.

The RNC and the purported Republican Party presidential candidate, John McCain has made it abundantly clear that if we conservatives want to "tag along" then they won't object but they also have made it abundantly clear as well that we as a voting constituency will not receive any considerations or a seat at the political round table from them either for our support and hard work. They have taken the position that whether we like what they offer us or not we will just have to support them as they have deluded themselves into believing that we have no other place to go and to not vote for a liberal RINO Republican will be a vote wasted. After all, that's been their method of operation for years. Until now.

And to date conservatives have been like the little obedient and abused puppy dog. We are only supposed to follow along with our heads bowed down in blind obedience and when the party is over we are given only sparse table scraps and kicked in the mouth and told to be a good little mutt and trot off back down to the damp dark unlit basement and stay there quietly until called on again in another two or four years to come limping back to the masters beckoned call once again to repeat the process all over again. Not anymore folks. Conservatives have been saying for a long time now, "if I only had another choice or place to go". Now they have.

Don't let those that don't give a hoot about you and me except when it comes to electing another one of their feckless clueless morally corrupt candidates. I made up my mind quite a while back that I would not vote for McCain or any other like minded RINO under any circumstances any more. The RINO's want me too anyway. Their usual worn out and tired party propaganda goes something like this "after all, if nothing else McCain is at least the lesser of the two evils. By not voting for my (evil) candidate you will be electing the Democrat so--n-so! Is that what you really want?!". Well folks, by voting for the lesser of the two evils is still voting for a evil person and this is especially true of amnesty loving John McCain. And to beat all that makes that person who votes for that lesser of two evil persons a participating enabler for evil to prevail as well.

So, with this new party working hard to become viable, strong and truly representative of he conservative voter and their principles there is no good reason why it can't or won't be so why don't you start thinking about coming aboard and supporting the effort and maybe even consider contributing some seed money to help spread the good word. Ambassador Alan Keyes who served in President Ronald Reagan's administration and is cut from the very same conservative cloth that President Reagan was and is the presumptive candidate for this new party. Most people involved in conservative politics may already know something about him but those who don't then please take some time to find out about him and this new conservative party effort. I trust that you will consult with people whom you know and trust their opinion if they themselves are informed about him and conservative politics.

So, instead of just writing in a name as a protest on the ballot which won't even be counted in the end why not help to get Ambassador Keyes on the ballot and cast a conservative vote for him and the Independent party. If enough conservatives turn out and work with and for him and his campaign and in turn vote for him then that would force the Republican party to realize what a big mistake they made in backing the Blue Blooded Rockefeller Country Club Republican elitists and dump them. It could well happen if enough conservatives would vote their principles and hearts instead of their RINO instilled self-defeating fears.

It's not an Oil Crisis 'Stupid' it's a Dollar Crisis

Here is an article that I came across recently that goes a long way towards explaining why oil costs so much lately. These days everybody and their dog are out there blaming everything under the sun for the high costs of oil with most of them not having an actual clue. Well this guy appears to come closer to the truth than all the rest of those other folks combined. Read on make and up your own mind.

Dollar is ablaze and plummeting

It's not an Oil Crisis it's a Dollar Crisis

Peter Schiff
May 23, 2008

It is unfortunate that the Supreme Court, in its ruling this week that U.S. currency is unfair to the blind, did not make the next logical step and declare it unfair to everyone who buys gasoline.

In their search for explanations as to why oil has surged past $130 per barrel, Washington, Wall Street, and the financial media are as clueless as cavemen after a freak summer snow storm. Despite the head scratching, the blame game is nevertheless in full force. Speculators and big oil companies are being trotted out as scapegoats, and increased margin requirements and taxes on windfall profits and futures trading have been mentioned as appropriate sanctions. It should be clear that this is pure farce, and that no one understands what is actually happening.

The reality is that after years of reckless consumption and dollar debasement, Americans are now being priced out of markets over which they formerly held unchallenged title. As more affluent foreigners consume more of the resources and products they previously supplied to us, Americans are being forced to cut back. The rising dollar-based price of gasoline is simply an illustration of this global trend.

Poorly concealed behind contrived government statistics, the signs of America's falling standard of living are everywhere; all one has to do is look. We are unloading SUVs for less desirable compacts, and are paying more to fly on crowded planes (where we pay to check luggage and dine only on what we bring onboard). We drink our lattes at McDonalds or not at all, and we increasingly forego dining out, trips to the mall, and vacations, just so we can scrape together enough to fill our gas tanks and kitchen pantries, pay taxes and insurance, or make credit card, mortgage or car payments.

The collective belt tightening is simply the down payment on the Government's massive bailout of Wall Street investment banks and mortgage lenders. As the Fed creates money to buy bad mortgages and other shaky securities held by banks and brokerage firms, the value of the savings and wages of everyone on Main Street will continue to fall. As a result, the costs of products previously taken for granted have begun to bite.

The various housing bills and stimulus packages now passing through Congress will add significantly to the staggering final price tag. In the end, the "free lunch" currently being dished out by Washington will be the most expensive meal ever served. The cost will be borne by ordinary Americans citizens every time they open their wallets. Four dollar gasoline is just the beginning.

For all the talk of increased global demand, few seem to understand from where it actually comes. The surge in global demand is both a function of the increased purchasing power of foreign currencies and the fact that foreigners are choosing to spend more of their incomes themselves. In other words Greenspan's famous "global savings glut" is turning into a global consumption binge, with Americans unable to crash the party. This trend will only get worse as the dollar-denominated price of just about everything that is either imported, or capable of being exported, goes through the roof.

We can look for scapegoats all we want but the simply fact is Americans are going to have to get used to a much lower standard of living. Those who have been putting all the food on our tables are finally pulling up chairs themselves.

There it is folks. This writer has put it more eloquently and succinctly than not only I could have outlined it but better than all those over paid financial analysts down at Wall Street. The last paragraph highlighted in red sums it up best IMHO as the net end result. The futures traders are going to be howling to high heaven but so what. That's life so get over it. The dollar is steadily losing ground in the global marketplace and with that so is the American economy. We are no longer an island unto ourselves.

People had better open their sleep covered eyes and look at what's going on around them closely and take stock and start to plan for a coming downsized lifestyle because as sure as the sun is going to rise tomorrow the American standard of living is going to be downsized just as the economy is going now. America has gone from a world dominating manufacturing based economy to a user service based economy which leaves us all at the mercy of global forces beyond our control. Those who believe in our own governments fairy tale version of economic indicators will be the ones left holding the bag in the end. After all these are the very same folks who have allowed this to happen in the first place.

Houston School Principal Defies Order & Permits CAIR to Promote Islam to Jr High Class

FJH Principal Robin Lowe

Seems that Principal Robin Lowe of the Friendswood Jr. High School in a Houston suburb after being instructed by her district's superintendent to not permit two spokeswomen from C.A.I.R. (Council on American-Islamic Relations) to make a presentation on the religion of Islam. For reasons not readily known at this time she went ahead and allowed the presentation to take place at the school on May 22, 2008.

Parents and community religious organizations throughout the community are reportedly outraged that a public school official responsible for the education of their young children would permit these Islamic spokepersons from C.A.I.R., which has been widely purported to be tied to terrorist organizations (2, 3) throughout the middle east or have been tied to Arab

charities that donate directly to terrorist activities. Pastor Dave Welch, spokesman for the Houston Area Pastor Council, confirmed the indoctrination had taken place and called it "unacceptable." [Quoted]

"The failure of the principal of Friendswood Junior High to respect simple procedures requiring parental notification for such a potentially controversial subject, to not only approve but participate personally in a religious indoctrination session led by representatives of a group with well-known links to terrorist organizations and her cavalier response when confronted, raises serious questions about her fitness to serve in that role," the pastors' organization said. [Quoted]

The two Muslim women showed up in full Muslim dress (1) and presented the students an indoctrination course on the religion of Islam. WND.com has previously reported (1, 2, 3, 4 and more - see links at bottom of this page) that this has been going on all across the nation and this is only the latest case of the indoctrination process by C.A.I.R.. It has been reported by students in attendance that the two Muslim women instructed them on

1): Adam, Noah and Jesus are(/were) prophets;

2): There is (only) one god, (and) his name is Allah;

3): The 5 Pillars of Islam;

4): How to pray five times a day (to Allah?);

5): Islamic religious garb" .
